Jimmy W. Martin

Graveside services for Jimmy W. Martin, 84, of Diboll will be held Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Brookside Memorial Park in Houston with Pastor Jerry Chandler officiating.

Mr. Martin was born October 13, 1937 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi to the late Kathleen (Kirkland) and Boaz Martin, and died Saturday, June 11, 2022 in a local hospital.

Formerly of Houston, Mr. Martin had resided in Diboll 24 years. He served in the U.S. Army and retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. He loved bowling and watching college baseball and football. Mr. Martin was a member of Diboll First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda (Mullins) Martin of Diboll; daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy Buzbee of Conroe, Stephanie and Tommy Dichero of Cypress, Janet and Frank Staggs of Conroe, and Jennifer and Christopher Greer of Magnolia; son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Melissa Mullins of Lovelady; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and brother, Larry Martin of New Augusta, Mississippi.

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Carolyn Sue Martin; sisters, Janet and Marsha; and son-in-law, Mike Buzbee.
