Jimmy Marshburn

Funeral services for Jimmy Marshburn, 68, of Pollok, will be held Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Paul Mettlen officiating.  Interment will follow in Ryan Chapel Cemetery.

Mr. Marshburn was born August 21, 1950 in Lufkin, Texas, the son of the late Reba Frances (Elliott) and William Albert Marshburn and he passed away on Friday, March 15, 2019.

Mr. Marshburn was a retired inspector for Lufkin Industries, following 38 years of service. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. His family was the most important thing to him. He was a faithful servant to our Lord and his church family at Burke First Apostolic Church meant the world to him.

Jimmy was a hardworking man - always keeping busy with some project or hobby. He enjoyed restoring antique vehicles, hunting, beekeeping, and animals of every kind.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Georgia Marshburn of Pollok; daughters and sons-in-law, Georgette and Shon Husband of Fort Worth, Kimberly Yarbrough of Pollok, and LeAnn and Cody Duncan of Lufkin; granddaughters, Teryn Husband, Gracie Duncan, Sara Cellars, and Chloe Duncan; grandsons, Devlyn Husband, Austin Yarbrough, Levi Duncan, Christopher Cellars, Evyn Husband, and Kellyn Husband; sister and brother-in-law, Alma and Kenneth Cash of LaPorte; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Reba Janell Marshburn.

Pallbearers will be Charlie Free, Jonathan Curbow, Bryan Broadway, Jeff Hooper, Steven Elliott and Jared Pigg.

Honorary pallbearers are Corey Pigg, Shaune Martinez, Stacy Hooper, Marty Pigg and Richard Free.

The family will receive friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
