Jill Marie Holcombe

Funeral services for Jill Marie Holcombe, 55, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, December 21, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Ken Adkins officiating. Interment will follow at Bennett Cemetery in Apple Springs.

Mrs. Holcombe was born January 19, 1969 in Overton, Texas to Gwen (Gee) and Jerry Sadler, and died Monday, December 16, 2024 at her residence.

Mrs. Holcombe had been a seamstress all her life, making clothes with her grandmother. She went to school to be a Medical Assistant and then worked at a nursing home while taking care of her family. Mrs. Holcombe was a gospel artist and produced her own album about 25 years ago. She was an avid crafter and was very creative. She enjoyed everything from crochet to oil painting. She also loved to feed people and was well-known for her homemade bread. She even used to take cookies to all the kids in the neighborhood. Other than the beach, her favorite place was always where Steve was.

Survivors include her husband, Steve Holcombe of Lufkin; mother and stepfather, Gwen and Leo Carnley of Gilmer; daughters, Amber Holcombe and significant other Mark of Houston, and Jacquiline Wahleithner and husband Joshua of Lufkin; sons, Jeremy Grandstaff and wife Harley of Jefferson, Joshua Daniel Holcombe of Houston, and Dustin Caleb Holcombe of Lufkin; grandsons, Brandon Keegan, Dylan Keegan, both of California, and Andrew James Grandstaff of Jefferson; brothers, Donny Sadler and wife Stacy, Duane Sadler and wife April, and Jason Sadler; sisters, Mary Allen and husband Jason, and Melissa Galan and husband Joaquin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Sadler; and husband, James Dean Tucker.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Daniel Holcombe, Dustin Caleb Holcombe, Jeremy Andrew Scott Grandstaff, Joshua Wahleithner, Mark Gonzales, Travis Springfield, Coltone Radke, and Cole Smith.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
