Funeral services for Jeweline Redd Bazar, 95, of Lufkin will be held Friday, December 27, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bryan Lipscomb officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
Mrs. Bazar was born July 18, 1929 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Rachel (Murphy) and Lewis Hodges, and died Thursday, December 19, 2024 at Pinnacle Senior Living. She was a lifetime resident of Lufkin and worked as a switchboard operator at Lufkin Telephone Exchange for more than 42 years. Mrs. Bazar was a member of Providence Baptist Church.
Survivors include her nieces, Anna Hodges and husband Mike of Lufkin, Paula Mathews and husband Mike of Scottsdale, Arizona, Sherry Redd Nash, and Sheila Redd Sorrell; nephews, Micky Bresie of Kirbyville, Gary Stokes, and Mike Stokes; great-niece, Stacy Tosh; great-nephews, Adam Betz, Jacob Betz, and Johnny Westbrook; stepson, Rodney Bazar and wife Lee Ann of Overton; and stepdaughters, Pamela Beers and husband Jerry, Paula Gray and husband Gene, and Kathy Folds and husband Mark.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Riley Redd and Robert E. Bazar; brothers, Ulen Hodges, Elwood Hodges, Milton Hodges, and Curtis Hodges; and sister, Opal Hodges Bresie Arrington.
Honorary pallbearers will be Adam Betz, Jacob Betz, Johnny Westbrook, and Rodney Bazar.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Friday afternoon prior to the services.
