Jesus Puente Garcia

Mass of Christian Burial for Jesus Puente Garcia, 79, of Corrigan will be held Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Diboll with Fr. Luis Fernando Arroyave officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Springs Cemetery in Corrigan. Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday evening in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Garcia was born December 24, 1942 in San Jose del Muerto, San Luis Potosi, Mexico to the late Mercedez Puente and Jose Garcia, and died Saturday, July 2, 2022 in a local hospital.

Mr. Garcia worked at Georgia Pacific for more than 25 years. He was a loving husband, father, and great-grandfather who proudly provided for his family. He attended Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.

He leaves a legacy of family members to include his wife of 62 years of marriage, Anita Hernandez Garcia of Corrigan; children, Jesus Garcia, Jr., Ernestina Vera, Maria Vargas, Catalina Martinez, Mercedez Garcia, Adolfo Garcia, Juany Martinez, Consuelo Peters, Elizabeth Estrada; and numerous grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Pallbearers will be Gerardo Vera, Saul Martin Vargas, Jesus Alexis Garcia, Adolfo Garcia, Jesus Garcia, Jr. and Adolfo Garcia, Sr.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at Carroway Funeral Home.
