Jessie Lee Warren Jr., fondly known as “Poppa Jessie,” of Corrigan, Texas, passed away on January 2, 2026, at the age of 71. Born on February 12, 1954, in Corrigan, he was the son of the late Jessie Lee Warren Sr. and Thelma “Lois” Warren.
Funeral services will held Saturday, January 10, 2026 in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Corrigan with Brother Shorty Hoot officiating. Interment will follow in the Feagin Cemetery.
Jessie will be remembered as a devoted father, brother, and friend who spent much of his life on the open road. A proud truck driver through and through, he never quite reached retirement but remained dedicated to his calling until his final journey. Even as he bravely battled cancer, his heart remained with the freedom of the highway and the hum of his rig.
Known for his fiery spirit. Jessie might have been short in stature, but his presence was anything but small. His famous “temper tantrums in the woods” were legendary among those who knew him best, and they served as a reminder of his passion and spirit. His eyes lit up whenever he talked about getting behind the wheel again. “Once a trucker, always a trucker” was more than a saying for Jessie—it defined his spirit.
Jessie’s life reminds us that some spirits—like true truckers—never stop moving forward. May all the roads lead you back to us.
He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Warren of Livingston; daughter and spouse, Linda and Jamie Beauchamp of Corrigan; grandchildren and spouses, Ashley and Francisco Lopez, Shelby and Brian Lindquester, Zachary Baugh, Revyn Wagnone, Savanna Beauchamp and Carlos Moya; grandson, Tytus Beauchamp; granddaughter, Kylie Beauchamp; eleven great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Lois Burgess and Norman of Leggett; brother and sister-in-law, Pete Warren and Wanda of Leggett; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Jessie was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, James “Bo” Warren; and his son, Jessie Warren III.
