Jessie J. Dunn

Funeral services for Jessie J. Dunn, 65, of Clawson will be held Sunday, June 24, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Milton “Scooter” Kelly officiating. Interment will follow in the Gann Cemetery.

Mr. Dunn was born August 30, 1952 in Angelina County, Texas to the late Mattie Faye (Rains) and Coy Leon Dunn, and died Thursday, June 21, 2018 at his residence.

Mr. Dunn had resided in Angelina County all of his life. He loved driving trucks and became a truck driver. He was employed by Louisiana Pacific, Moore Brothers, New Waverly Transportation, and was self-employed. He enjoyed playing the guitar and singing. He liked to fish, especially running trot lines. His sons were his life. Mr. Dunn was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his sons, James Dunn and wife Renee and Leon Dunn and Melissa, all of Clawson; wife, Teresa Dunn of Clawson; stepdaughter, Misty Pratt and husband Billy Cantrell of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; stepson, T.J. Farrar of Longview; grandchildren, Tricia Sprinkle of Huntington, Brian Kelly and wife Caitlin of Minden, Louisiana, Bradley Dunn of Clawson, Madison Dunn of Hudson, Summer Farrar, Autumn Farrar, and Trey Farrar, all of Longview, Aimee Trapp and Ashlee Trapp, both of Lufkin; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Martha Sue (Johnson) Dunn; and brother, Charles Leon Dunn.

Pallbearers will be James Dunn, Leon Dunn, T.J. Farrar, Bradley Dunn, Joseph Headrick, John Petty, Jimmy Martin, Waylon Terry, John Paul Martin, Mark Rachelle, and Joel McElroy.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home.
