Jesse C. Johnson

Funeral services for Jesse C. Johnson, 69, of Hudson will be held Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kevin Poage officiating. Graveside services with military honors will follow in the Largent Cemetery.

Mr. Johnson was born June 17, 1949 in Linden, Texas to the late Ruby (Lofton) and William Henry Johnson, and died Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at his residence.

Mr. Johnson served in the U.S. Marine Corps and retired from Louisiana Pacific following 19 years of employment. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and working on boats and old cars. Mr. Johnson was a member of Clawson Assembly of God.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Johnson of Hudson; daughter and son-in-law, Tisha and Tim Mayton of Conroe; son and daughter-in-law, Markus W. and Kristina Johnson of Hudson; grandchildren, Adam McDaniel and wife Rachel of Conroe, Jeremy Blangger of Lufkin, Naomi Burrous of Diboll, Savannah Allen of Hudson, Cody Johnson of Lufkin, Preslee Johnson and Joslynn Johnson, both of Hudson; eight great-grandchildren; brothers and sister-in-law, Ray and Betty Johnson of Hudson and William Johnson of Mabank; sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Melvin Thompson of Diboll; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Johnny D. and Teresa Johnson of Hudson; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Gale and Rex Nerren of Hudson; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Billy Wayne Johnson and Henry Nathan Johnson; and parents-in-law, Betty Ruth and Eddie Verdell Johnson.

Pallbearers will be Mike Malcolm, Joe Renfro, Terry Wheeler, Patrick Johnson, Michael Sullivan, and Bubba Lout.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice in the Pines, 1504 W. Frank Avenue, Lufkin, Texas 75904.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
