Funeral services for Jerry Martin Sizemore, 81, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. John W. Greene officiating with a private family internment to follow.
Mr. Sizemore was born December 5, 1937 in Pennington, Texas to the late Mary Velma (Martin) and EV Sizemore, and died Wednesday, May 15, 2019 in Lufkin.
Mr. Sizemore lived most of his life in Lufkin where he was a salesman for various companies, retiring in 1999 from the local phone service provider. He was a devout Christian and a member of Harmony Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Gloria Sizemore; four children and their spouses; daughter, Lisa Jones and husband Kent; sons, Jerry Maxwell Sizemore, Mike Lamb, and Rock Lamb and wife Lori. He is also survived by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; one sister, Norma Lord, and brother, Royce Sizemore and wife Linda.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Marshall Sizemore and James Sizemore; and sisters, Gloria Dean Wideman and Tiny Montgomery.
Pallbearers are his grandsons, Brandon Jones, Casey Sizemore, Austin Lamb, and Ray Chandler; and brothers-in-law, Gary Griffith and Charles Farrell.
Honorary pallbearers are Homer Farrell, A.P. Farrell, Tommy Harwell, Lyle Carpenter, Medford Havard, Randy Nunley, and Louis Baker.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Harmony Hill Baptist Church, Children’s Building Fund, 2708 S. Chestnut Street, Lufkin, Texas 75901 or a charity of your choice.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at Harmony Hill Baptist Church.
