Jerry Wayne "Bigfoot" Goodwin

Graveside services for Jerry Wayne “Bigfoot” Goodwin, 78, of Wells will be held Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. in the Mt. Hope Cemetery with Brother Wesley Matchett officiating.

Mr. Goodwin was born May 3, 1945 in Wells, Texas to the late Leona (Grayson) and Guy Goodwin, and died Thursday, October 26, 2023 at his residence.

Mr. Goodwin was a lifetime resident of Wells and was a logger. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and family, and loved the outdoors. Mr. Goodwin was a Christian.

Survivors include his sons and daughter-in-law, Donnie and Stephanie Goodwin, and Mitchell Goodwin, all of Wells; grandchildren and spouses, Heather Loving, Dusty and Diana Goodwin, Ashley Meaux and fiancé Mikel Tatum, Colby Landers, River Goodwin, Stormie and J.R. Allen, Bryar and Kelsey Goodwin, and Ricky Goodwin; nine great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Linda P. Goodwin; son, Ricky Goodwin; and brother, Shirley Ray Goodwin.

Pallbearers will be Bryar Goodwin, Ricky Goodwin, Colby Landers, Dusty Goodwin, Mike Petty, and Mason Rogers.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at Carroway Funeral Home.
