Funeral services for Jerry Dwane Browning, 80, of Lufkin will be held Friday, November 19, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Keltys First Baptist Church with Pastor Chris Taylor, Pastor Aaron Wilson, and Dr. Mark Livingston officiating. Graveside services with military honors will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Jerry Dwane Browning went home to be with his Lord Friday, November 12, 2021. Jerry was born August 22, 1941, in Hope, Arkansas to Grady W. and Floyce A. (Roberts) Browning. He was the second of five boys.

Jerry served his country in the U.S. Army for six years. He graduated with a Master of Divinity degree from the Baptist Missionary Association Theological Seminary in Jacksonville, Texas. He was a faithful, God-called minister of Christ for 53 years, pastoring in Texas, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. Jerry loved sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with everyone he encountered. He specifically had a heart for evangelism and counseling ministries.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Browning of Lufkin, Texas; children, Ron Browning and wife Hope of Aurora, Colorado, Nicole Bradfield and husband Donald of Magnolia, Arkansas, Pam Doyle and David Wideman of Lufkin, Texas, Deborah Brown and husband Jeff of Montgomery, Texas, and David Doyle of Houston, Texas; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Conrad Browning and wife Polly; sisters-in-law, Sandra Browning and Lynda McMahan; brother-in-law, Jack McMahan and wife Beverly; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ginny (Warren) Browning; daughter, Millette Browning; brothers, Don Browning and wife JoAnn, Larry Browning and wife Jutta, and Bill Browning; sisters-in-law, Janelle Blauvelt and Kay Resnick; and brother-in-law, Austin McMahan.

Pallbearers will be Cory Calhoun, Clay Keith, Tommy Oliver, Dylan Coleman, Adam Jarvis, and Mike Hauck.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Keltys First Baptist Church Evangelism Fund, 2402 N. John Redditt Drive, Lufkin, Texas 75904.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Keltys First Baptist Church.
