Jerrel David Norris

A Celebration of Life for Jerrel David Norris, 84, of Zavalla will be held Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Lakewood Baptist Church in Zavalla. Arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mr. Norris was born May 10, 1934 in Rosepine, Louisiana to the late Annie (Smith) and James Henry Norris, and died Saturday, November 10, 2018 at his residence.

Mr. Norris retired from Houston Lighting & Power as a Maintenance Supervisor after 38 years of service. He loved crappie fishing with his buddies. Mr. Norris attended Lakewood Baptist Church.

Survivors include his daughters, Kelli Moses of Zavalla and Debra White and husband Walt of Cypress; grandchildren, Lee Vi Moses and wife Beth of Little River, Donnie Faske and wife Susan of Magnolia, Lilly Hieden of Carrollton, Loretta Hieden of Bedias, and Frank Hieden and wife Jessica of Tomball; great-grandchildren, Jo Lee Moses, Luke Moses, Hunter Faske, Madyson Faske, Alex Hieden, and Nicolas Collins; three great-great-grandchildren; sister, Myra Rion and husband Joe of Buna; brother, Daniel Wayne Norris of Rosepine, Louisiana; ex-wives, Joy Godbold of Cypress and Mary Norris of Columbia, South Carolina; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Billie Borel; and brother, Jimmy Norris.
