Funeral services for Jeffrey Lynn Weatherford, 63, of Lufkin will be held Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Wayne Rhodes and Brittany Hughes officiating. Interment will follow in Fielder Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Weatherford was born October 26, 1962 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Doris (Colwell) and Johnie Nathan Weatherford, and went to be with the Lord Thursday, June 11, 2026 in Lufkin.
Jeffrey was a loner who didn’t mix in public. His faith and love for the Lord our Savior was a little untraditional, but nevertheless, he is with his heavenly family now. He was an amazing man who didn’t have to be the man that he was. He was born to be Kassydi’s daddy. You never had a man that loved his daughter so much. His legacy will always be remembered by his daughter Kassydi, family and friends. He helped anyone and everyone. He raised a huge garden and picked, cleaned and delivered it to those who needed it. He was the best friend you could ever ask for. He was a very intelligent man despite being very dyslexic. He was a warehouse of knowledge on nature and American wars. He worked all his life with his dad, then with the Texas Department of Transportation. He was plagued with heart disease, yet he never stopped. He was not a lazy man. He had a dry but hilarious sense of humor that let you see the warmth of his humanity and his deep love. He is a loss that will be unable to be filled. He will be missed forever.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Kassydi Weatherford and Ben Butler; grandchildren, Wyatt Butler and Maverick Butler; sister, Andrea Weatherford; brother David Toburen; aunt, Estelle Brock; and numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Nathan Weatherford; uncle, David Colwell; and brother-in-law, Wayne Carroll.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Morton, Terry Morton, Clayton Morton, Nathan Toburen, James Kubiak, and David Toburen.
Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Hughes and Thomas Jernigan.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon prior to the service.
