Jeffrey Ryan Cosby

Jeffrey Ryan Cosby, 27, of Frisco, Texas passed away Friday, September 8, 2017. The family will hold a Celebration of Life service Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin, Texas. The family will receive friends and family in the family reception room from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. preceding the service. The family requests those attending the service wear blue, as it was Jeffrey’s favorite color.  Jeffrey was born September 12, 1989 in Austin, Texas to Melissa Ann Tyer and Larry Wayne Cosby. Jeffrey was a graduate from The University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Business in Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems. Jeffrey worked as an Upgrade Engineer at Watchguard Video in Allen, Texas.  Jeffrey was an avid reader and a technology enthusiast. He loved cars and motorcycles. He was a loyal friend with a kind heart. He was always willing to lend an ear or a helping hand and just as willing to cut up a dance floor. Jeffrey was always striving and eager to learn more. He spoke 3 languages including English, Spanish and Russian. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his friends and family. He was a light in this world and touched deeply the lives of anyone who was fortunate enough to know him.  Jeffrey is survived by his mother, Melissa Tyer of Frisco, Texas; father, Larry Cosby of Center, Texas; sister, Heather Cosby and fiancé Clayton of Arlington, Texas; sister, Amy Cosby of Los Angeles, California; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as dozens of lifelong friends.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Jeffrey’s memory to the Starlight VR Program by Starlight Children’s Foundation at: https://www.starlight.org/starlight-programs/starlight-vr/ .
