Jeff Cox

Jeffery Allan “Jeff” Cox, 56, of Lufkin died Wednesday, January 1, 2025 in a Longview hospital. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held at his Lufkin home at a later date.

Jeff was born July 24, 1968 in Nacogdoches, Texas. He resided in Angelina County most of his life. He worked as a Journeyman Electrician and enjoyed playing with his grandkids and hanging out with family and friends on the back porch on Wildlife Lane. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Cox; daughter, Katy Lynn Gray; son, Bennett Lucas Cox; grandsons, Lucas Bryan and Judson Gray; mother, Glenda (Hodges) Gipson; sister, Teresa Cox; brother, Thomas Lee Jacobs; stepbrother, Chip Renfroe; nieces, Candice Sitze and Claire Jacobs; nephew, Aden Jacobs; and special friend, Angie Hill.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Bennett Cox; and dad, Spanky Gipson.
