Jeannie Kay Wilson

A reception for Jeannie Kay Wilson, 75, of Lufkin will be held Friday, June 24, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Carroway Family Reception Room. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Ms. Wilson was born October 27, 1946 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Myrell (Oliver) and William Woodrow Wilson, and died Thursday, June 16, 2022 at her residence.

Jeannie was a lifelong resident of Lufkin and was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She attended Denman Avenue Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Doug Plopper of Lufkin; grandsons, Chris Plopper and wife Shuling of Lufkin, Cody Plopper of Tampa, Florida; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert Wilson and Don Wilson, both of Wells; sister and brother-in-law, Rose and Robert Barton of Alto; and numerous other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Johnny Davidson.
