Jean Booher

Jean Booher, loving wife and mother went to meet Our Lord on July 18, 2025.

She was born to Frank Johnson and Lottie Taylor Johnson on August 20, 1941 in Cash, Arkansas.

Married to her beloved husband, Lehman Booher for 63 years, she now joins him in eternal rest after he went to be with our Lord in 2020.

She is survived by her 2 sisters, Ann Church and Tomie Sudduth. She is also survived by her four daughters: Cheryl Jarvis (Mike) Lorenda Sanford, (Robby) deceased, Sandra May (David) and Theresa Booher (James) deceased. She was also blessed with 5 grandchildren, Steven Havard, Jeremy Sanford (Shanie), Johnathan Arriola (Laura), Jennifer Mettlen (Jerry) and Jessica Gardner (Jerry) and 13 great-grandchildren.

Jean Booher was a devoted homemaker who lovingly raised her daughters during the early years of her marriage.

She spent the majority of her career at Memorial Hospital in Lufkin, where she dedicated over 30 years of faithful service. She began in the business office and rose to the position of Internal Auditor. In that role, she played a vital part in the hospital’s daily operations and ongoing growth.

Jean was baptized in the Church of God in the early 70s, remaining a faithful and steadfast member for the rest of her life. Her faith was a guiding force and a source of strength.

Jean was the rock of her family. She poured her whole heart into loving them, always offering wisdom and support. Her legacy was built on compassion, faith, trust and unwavering love. These qualities will live on in all those she touched and in the lives of those who carry her memory forward.

Viewing will be on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:00 a.m. and the Service will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Carroway Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held at Campground Cemetery in Evening Shade, Arkansas on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at 1:00 p.m.

She was dearly loved by all of her family and will live forever in our hearts.
