Jay C. Sirkel

Jay C. Sirkel, 75, of recently of Hudson, formerly of Beeville, died Saturday, May 25, 2019 in Lufkin. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mr. Sirkel was born January 2, 1944 in San Angelo, Texas to the late Georgia (Wilson) and J.C. Sirkel, and died Saturday, May 25, 2019 in a local hospital.

Mr. Sirkel proudly served his country in the United State Army. He worked in offshore oil and retired from Oxy as a Supervisor. Most of all he loved his wife and family, and also enjoyed computers and watching television. Mr. Sirkel was a member of Union Road Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Lee Sirkel of Hudson; children and their spouses, Natalie and Tom Brewer of North Carolina, Dave and Karen Ellis of Ohio, Terri and Martin Rangel of San Antonio; stepchildren and their spouses, Sherry and Chad Doucet and Brian and Carrie Squyres, all of San Antonio; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Ruby and D.J. Willingham of Arizona and Lina Scott of Robstown; brother-in-law, Richard Bennett of Tennessee; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Stephanie Neely; sister, Betty Bennett; and brother-in-law, Jerry Scott.
