Jaxson Avery "Toots" Bright

Funeral services for Jaxson Avery “Toots” Bright, 5 months, of Lufkin will be held Friday, May 19, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Christian Collard officiating. Interment will follow in the Berry Cemetery.

Jaxson was born December 4, 2016 in Lufkin, Texas, and died Sunday, May 14, 2017 in Lufkin.

Jaxson “Toots” was most loved by his parents. Their arrival in any room brought on the biggest smile in the room. Mommy continuously captured his happiest moments and mischievous moments of turning the house upside down. Daddy would make Toots start his contagious laugh with his goofiness. He always rocked a mohawk and loved clinging to his mother.

Survivors include his parents, Ashley (Honeycutt) Mendez and Kenneth E. Bright of Lufkin; sisters, Jada Bright of Magnolia, Mississippi and Kylie Ford of Lufkin; brothers, Dylan Ford, Ryan Ford, and Devin Bright, all of Lufkin; grandparents, Rodney and Donna Honeycutt of Lufkin, Robert and Joann Bright of Nacogdoches, and Cathryn Ford of Lufkin; great-grandfather, Troy Honeycutt, Jr. of Lufkin; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Barbara Honeycutt, George and Juanita Martin, Marvin Bright, Tommy Lee Haney, and Mozell Bright; and great-uncle, Tim Hughes.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Lytle, Allen Gober, Marlon Gober, and Cody Oliver.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dylan Ford, Ryan Ford, Devin Bright, and Lucas Honeycutt.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Friday afternoon prior to the services.
