Jason Horne

Funeral services for Jason Horne, 41, of Huntington will be held Friday, April 26, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Brother Cary Modisett and David Holland, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Jonesville Cemetery.

Jason was born January 18, 1978 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Elizabeth (Bazor) and Terry Horne, Sr., and died Sunday, April 21, 2019 in Huntington.

Jason had resided in Huntington most of his life. He was a professional Tree Climber for 20 years. He loved the Bible most of all, and also loved music and playing his guitar. He enjoyed fishing and was one of the Neches River Boys. Jason was loved by so many and he loved everyone close to him so fiercely. He was a member of Shawnee Church of Jesus Christ.

Survivors include his sisters, J’Na Palmore and husband Mark of Lufkin and Neva Smith of Huntington; brothers, Justin Horne of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Steven Horne and wife Shayna of San Antonio; five nieces; 11 nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Terry Horne, Jr.

Pallbearers will be Cody Horne, Steven Horne, James Lane, Brandon Phillips, David Holland, Jr., Gary Ellis, Marvin Sullivan, Scott Phillips, Marshall Howard, David Sullivan, Chad Sullivan, Chip Kelley, Trever Phillips, and David Holland, Sr.

Honorary pallbearers will be Cole Palmore, Matt Horne, Thomas Horne, Jeremiah Holland, Clay Powers and Justin Horne.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Friday morning prior to the service.
