Jarred Anthony Pecina

Mass of Christian Burial for Jarred Anthony Pecina, 20, of Diboll will be held Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Lottie and Arthur Temple Civic Center in Diboll with Fr. Luis Fernando Arroyave and Deacon Gary Trevino officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Springs Cemetery in Corrigan.

Jarred was born July 3, 1997 in Lufkin, Texas to Maricela Rodriguez and Jose I. Pecina, and died Monday, January 1, 2018 in Diboll, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Jarred was a lifetime resident of Diboll. He was a graduate of Lufkin High School and currently attending Blinn College in Brenham, Texas. He worked for the National Cheerleaders Association for two years. Jarred was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

Survivors include his mother, Maricela Rodriguez of Diboll; brother and sister-in-law, Jon and Shelley Rodriguez of Diboll; niece, Hadley Rodriguez of Diboll; nephews, Cash and Weston Frankens of Diboll; grandmothers, Sylvia Rodriguez of Diboll and Concepcion Pecina of Corrigan; aunts and uncles, Marina and Miguel Cuevas of Lufkin, Larry Lee Rodriguez of Diboll, Esteban and Angie Pecina of Huntsville, Felix and Gabriela Pecina of Corrigan, and Raul and Claudia Pecina of Nacogdoches; and numerous cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jose I. Pecina; and grandfathers, Juan Rodriguez and Ignacio Pecina.

Pallbearers will be David Thompson, Bailey Borque, Matt Torres, Jay Davis, Kevin Muniz, and Andrew Dill.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jacob Lopez, J.J. Lopez and Randy Reynolds.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday evening at Carroway Funeral Home, with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m.
