James R. Brasuell

Graveside services for James R. Brasuell, 84, of Hudson will be held Thursday, February 6, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Old Union Cemetery with Brother Kent Childers officiating.

Mr. Brasuell was born July 15, 1940 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Ovella (White) and Homer Brasuell, and died Sunday, February 2, 2025 in a Tyler hospital. He was a lifetime resident of Hudson and retired from papermill in Lufkin. Mr. Brasuell was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his sons and daughter-in-law, Keith and Deidra Brasuell, and Kevin Brasuell, all of Hudson; grandchildren, Erika Brasuell and Nicholas Brasuell and wife Juleen; great-grandchildren, Jacie Westbrook, Leah Brasuell, and Allie Brasuell; and special friend, Carolyn White of Hudson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Barbara Brasuell.
