James Calvin Allen

Funeral services for James Calvin Allen, 67, of Diboll will be held Friday, February 23, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at First Pentecostal Church of Diboll with Pastor Doug Hogsten officiating. Interment will follow at Gann Cemetery.

Mr. Allen was born September 22, 1956 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Amma Louise (Herrin) and James Buford Allen, and died Friday, February 16, 2024 in Diboll.

Mr. Allen worked at Temple-Inland for over 20 years. He was a member of Ryans Lake Hunting Club and an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved his son, but his grandchildren and great-grandchildren quickly became the pride and joy of his life. He loved the Lord and enjoyed studying his Bible. Mr. Allen was a member of First Pentecostal Church of Diboll.

Survivors include his wife, Kathey (Yount) Allen; son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Angela Allen; stepdaughters and son-in-law, Melissa and Isaac Jamison and Ann Robinson; grandchildren and spouses, Tristan and Lillie Allen, Keylei and Garett Lowe, and Khloe and Slade Havard; great-grandchildren, Finley Lowe, Adelyne Allen, Magnolia Allen, Forest Lowe, Scarlett Allen, and Flora Lowe; sister and brother-in-law, Connie and Paul Jean; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Donald Allen.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at First Pentecostal Church of Diboll.
