Jaime Michele Smith

Memorial services for Jaime Michele Smith, 49, of Diboll will be held Thursday, September 4, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Ronnie Frankens and Brother Gentry Wilkerson officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Jaime was born October 6, 1975 in Lufkin, Texas to Peggy (Ferguson) and David “DL” Busby, and died Saturday, August 30, 2025 in a Conroe, Texas hospital.

Jaime was of the Baptist faith. She was a Registered Nurse and loved her work. Nursing was a perfect profession for her; she loved helping others, was selfless, and was a natural caregiver. Jaime enjoyed crafts, painting, cooking, and spending time with friends, and she dearly loved her dog Bodi.

Survivors include Ryan Smith; son, Carson Smith of Pollok; daughter, Addison Smith of Pollok; mother and stepfather, Peggy and Jimmie Berry of Lufkin; brother and sister-in-law, David and Christina Busby of Diboll; and nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, David “DL” Busby.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Thursday afternoon prior to the services.
