Funeral services for Jackie Wilson, 76, of Lufkin will be held Monday, November 6, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Steve Cowart officiating. Interment will follow in the Largent Cemetery.

Mr. Wilson was born August 2, 1947 in Mount Vernon, Texas to the late Margaret Marie (Carr) and John Verlon Wilson, and died Friday, November 3, 2023 in a local hospital.

Jackie proudly served his country in the United States Army doing two tours in the Vietnam War. He worked at Lufkin Coca-Cola and retired after 34 years of service.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Wilson of Lufkin; son, Greg Wilson and wife Angie of Lufkin; daughter, Jodie Golden and husband Lester of Lufkin; granddaughter, Nikki Wilson and fiancé Kyle Jackson of Lufkin; grandsons, Nicco Zamudio of Branson, Missouri, Cody Golden and wife Sara of Lufkin; great-grandchildren, Logan Rouse, Carstyn Wilson, John Ray Golden; brother, Ernest “Shorty” Wilson and wife Mary; sister, Donna Hudson; brother-in-law, Clarence Mark Smith; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Ricky Wilson, Woodrow “Woody” Wilson, Kenneth Wilson, John Ray Wilson, and William Wilson.

Pallbearers will be Mike Eckels, Dennis Henson, David Terry, Travis Smith, Michael Gonzalez, Blane Wilson, and Kenneth Wilson, Jr.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
