Funeral services for Iva Dell Harris, 91, of Huntington will be held Friday, May 4, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Highway Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Lamar Denby officiating. Interment will follow in the Dunk Havard Cemetery.
Mrs. Harris was born February 28, 1927 in Angelina County, Texas to the late Elsie (Carrell) and Benjamin Carl Walker, and died Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at The Joseph House.
Mrs. Harris was a lifetime resident of Huntington. She was a Licensed Vocational Nurse and retired from the Lufkin State Supported Living Center. Mrs. Harris loved gardening and cooking for family and friends. She enjoyed quilting and made quilts for all her children and grandchildren. She married L.J. Harris June 7, 1946 and they were together until he passed away. Mrs. Harris was a member of Saron Baptist Church and attended Highway Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, William and Sara Harris of Conroe and Donny Harris of Huntington; daughter, Sundra Denman of Huntington; grandchildren and spouses, Shannon and Chris Vollaro, Lance and Elizabeth Harris, Angie and Perry Williams, Don J. and Gretchen Harris, Grant Harris, Holly and Paul Howard, Josh and Lori Denman; great-grandchildren, Cleo, Gwynneth and Lou Vollaro, Will and Samuel Harris, Dyllan and Colton Strickland, Preslie, Claire, Jarred, Haley, Hudson and Ella Harris, Addie and Emmy Howard, Kelsey and Jake Knight, L.J. and Bryce Denman; great-great-grandson, Samuel Strickland; brothers and sisters-in-law, Carl Ray and Chloe Walker of Lufkin, Robert and Sherrell Walker of Huntington; sister, Audria Ruth Pride of Huntington; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, L.J. Harris; son, Fred Harris; son-in-law, Lynn Denman; and brother, Burnice Walker.
Pallbearers will be Don J. Harris, Perry Williams, Lance Harris, Chris Vollaro, Josh Denman and Paul Howard.
Honorary pallbearer will be Grant Harris.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Highway Missionary Baptist Church.
