Iola Hicks Presnall

Funeral services for Iola Hicks Presnall, 98, of Wells will be held Monday, March 11, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Wells with Brother Josh Luellen and Brother Wesley Matchett officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Mrs. Presnall was born December 14, 1920 in Wells, Texas to the late Edna (Sessions) and William Emmitt Hicks, and died Friday, March 8, 2019 at her residence.

Mrs. Presnall was a lifetime resident of Wells. She graduated from Wells High School and Tyler Commercial College. Mrs. Presnall married the love of her life, J.B. Presnall, April 20, 1940. She had been a member of First Baptist Church of Wells since 1940 and taught Sunday school for many of those years.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Riley Dean O’Quinn of Wells; grandchildren, Jana O’Quinn and Joe Ben O’Quinn and wife Erika; great-grandchildren, Rylan Morris, Marcie Morris, RaeLeigh Adkins, and Presley O’Quinn; sister, Mildred Hopper of Forest; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, J.B. Presnall; four sisters, two brothers, and their spouses.

Pallbearers will be Ross Hicks, Gary Ford, Kyle Hopper, Mark Hopper, Kelly Sparkman, and Emmitt Sparkman.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Monday morning prior to the services.
