Ida Faye Lambert Vail

Funeral services for Ida Faye Lambert Vail, 90, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, March 30, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Kyle Ivey officiating. Interment will follow in Walker Cemetery.

Mrs. Vail was born December 11, 1933 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Glades (Reeves) and John Hill, and died Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at The Joseph House in Lufkin.

She was a lifetime resident of Lufkin and was employed at Thompson’s Pharmacy for more than 30 years. Mrs. Vail enjoyed gardening, cooking, and doing embroidery. She was a member of Keltys First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children and spouses, Nancy and Randy Smith of Magnolia Springs, Kenneth and Lisa Lambert of Lufkin, Brenda and Albert Stokley of Huntington, and Beth and Steve Crawford of Pollok; stepdaughter and husband, Joyce and Roy Anderson of Huntington; grandchildren and spouses, Ashley and Miles Rollo, Kyle and Nena Ivey, Kacie and Jamie Bridges, Trent and Paige Crawford, Megan Roberts, Shelby and Matthew Hassain, Briana and Travis Pinner, Taffi and Uriah Abens, and Chris Anderson; great-grandchildren, Charley, Korie, Carson, Cannon, Korlee, Kenzie, Cruz, Kross, Ardyn, Emma, Dallas, Luke, Jack, Abby, Samuel, Benjamin, and Joshua; and numerus nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Ralph Franklin Lambert, Frank Turner, and Bobby Eugene Vail; brothers, Tommie Wayne Hill, John Hill, Jr., and Jimmy Hill; sister, Elizabeth Ann Knight; and sisters-in-law, Mary Hill, Martha Hill, and Estelle Hill.

Pallbearers will be Miles Rollo, Larry Hill, Albert Stokley, Jerry Hill, Trent Crawford, Jamie Bridges, and Matthew Hassain.

Honorary pallbearers will be Floyd Lilley and Gary Hill.
