Hunter Mrusek

Funeral services for Hunter Mrusek, 15, of Hudson will be held Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. (CST) in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tony Holder and Brother Sam Huffstetler officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Hunter was born April 2, 2002 in Beaufort, South Carolina to Lori Jenkins and Douglas David Mrusek, and died Wednesday, November 22, 2017 in a local hospital.

Hunter had resided in Tampa, Florida prior to moving to Hudson a year ago. He played on the Junior Varsity Basketball and Baseball Team at Hudson High School. He was a member of Horizon Christian Church in Tampa, Florida.

Survivors include his parents, Lori and Sean Boynton of Hudson; father, Doug Mrusek of San Diego, California; brothers, Peyton Boynton and Asher Boynton, both of Hudson; sisters, Presley Boynton and Emme Boynton, both of Hudson; brother, Tyler Mrusek of San Diego, California; grandparents, Gary and Teresia Jenkins of Hudson, David and Brenda Mrusek of Loveland, Ohio, Cheryl Bartleson of Ohio; great-grandmother, Bobbie Rae Jenkins of Hudson; uncle, Michael Jenkins of Hudson; aunts and uncles, Sam and Charlotte Huffstetler, Morris and Johna Childers, David and Melissa Jenkins, Mark and Cindy Jenkins, and Tommy and Lindsay Jenkins; special cousin, Loren Heffstetler; as well as many other cousins and relatives.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandfather, W. P. “Bo” Jenkins and great-grandmother, Lora Griggs.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Huffstetler, Jacob Huffstetler, Ethan Loggins, Chayce Jimmerson, Caleb Newsome, Bryce Hudman, Blaise Cathcart, Caden McLelland, Charlie Ross, and Tristin Flowers.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Hudson Basketball and Baseball Teams, Ben Shaw, Caleb Morgan, and Bailey Smith.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. (CST) Monday evening, November 27, 2017 at the funeral home.
