Funeral services for Helen Kendrick, 84, of Oak Ridge North, Texas will be held Sunday, November 30, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Trey Ainsworth officiating. Interment will follow in Berry Cemetery.
Mrs. Kendrick was born October 21, 1941 in Shelby County, Texas to the late Lavada (Ervin) and Joe Tillman, and died Monday, November 24, 2025 at her residence.
Helen was an Endodontist Assistant and spent most of her career working with Dr. Fox in Spring, Texas. She enjoyed watching western movies, country music, ice cold Cokes, and spending time at the farm in Lufkin. She loved her dogs, her family, supporting her grandchildren in sports and adored her great-grandchildren. Helen could be a bit mischievous and was known to play pranks. Helen was a faithful member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church and loved her Sunday School Bible study group.
Survivors include her granddaughter, Kailey Davis and husband William; grandsons, Tyler Kendrick and wife Jessi, Grant Homrighaus and wife Elissa; great-grandchildren, Jocelyn Davis, Royce Kendrick; and numerous cousins and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Royce Kendrick; son, Randy Kendrick; daughter, Gaylyn Homrighaus; and sister, Sandra Wallace.
Pallbearers will be Grant Homrighaus, Tyler Kendrick, William Davis, Randy Newman, Kyle Homrighaus, and Clay Wallace.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon prior to the service.
