Funeral services for Hannah E. Wheeler Harvill, 84, of Lufkin will be held Sunday, October 7, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Brother Lamar Denby officiating. Interment will follow in the Treadwell Cemetery.
Mrs. Harvill was born July 28, 1934 in Corrigan, Texas to the late L.J. Wheeler and Hazel (Skinner) Wheeler, and went to be with her Savior and heavenly family Friday, October 5, 2018 in Lufkin.
Mrs. Harvill resided in Huntington from 1964 until in recent years she was a resident of Neches House Assisted Living in Lufkin. She retired from Lufkin Middle School where she worked in the cafeteria after she had raised her children to adulthood. Mrs. Harvill was blessed with great friendships and family. She loved the Lord. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church for over 53 years.
Survivors include her daughter, Deana Diegel and husband Reid of Houston; son, Michael Harvill and wife Trisha of Huntington; grandchildren, Cody Harvill and wife Michelle, Dori Diegel, and Micah Harvill; and great-grandchildren, McKinnley Diegel, Emma Harvill, and Ethan Harvill.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love her life, Billy Dean Harvill, as they were able to celebrate 61 years of marriage; sisters, Elby Inez Wheeler and Opal Jackson; and brother, Dalton Wheeler.
