Gwyn Westbrook

Funeral services for Gwyn Westbrook, 81, of Pollok will be held Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Steve Cowart officiating. Interment will follow in Gann Cemetery.

Mrs. Westbrook was born May 9, 1943 in Orange, Texas, to the late Mary Ellen (Thrailkill) and C.T. Heaton, and died Wednesday, March 19, 2025 in a local hospice facility.

She was a lifetime resident of Pollok and was a beloved and doting wife, Momma and MawMaw. She graduated from Central High School and played on the 1959 Girls Basketball State Champs team. Mrs. Westbrook was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Michael Westbrook of Pollok; sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin and Sharon Westbrook, and Roy and Hila Westbrook, all of Pollok; grandchildren and spouses, Rory Westbrook and Erica Perez of Crockett, Ryan and Hali Westbrook, Celie and Preston Stewart, and Reid and Kayla Westbrook, all of Pollok; great-grandchildren, Josie, Collin, Layton, Cole, Clay, Harper, and Brent; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Karen Heaton of Prairieville, Louisiana; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Beth and Larry Kendrick of Pollok; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Amy Westbrook; great-grandson, Gunnar Westbrook; daughter-in-law, Leslie Westbrook; parents-in-law, Harold Lee and Dorothy Westbrook; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bob and Linda Westbrook.

Pallbearers will be Rory Westbrook, Ryan Westbrook, Reid Westbrook, Celie Stewart, Preston Stewart, Dave Kendrick, Lewis Smith, and Danny Colbert.

Honorary pallbearers will be Garry Davis, Paul Fenley, Pate Fenley, and Ronnie Burns.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
