Gwendolyn Faye Nerren

Funeral services for Gwendolyn Faye Nerren, 71, of Diboll will be held Friday, September 20, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Keith Payne officiating. Interment will follow in Fielder Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Nerren was born June 7, 1953 in Santa Rita, New Mexico to the late Naomi M. (Cole) and Leonard L. Cordell, and passed away Monday, September 16, 2024 in Lufkin, Texas. She was an RN and worked at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital for over 30 years. She was an avid dog lover, especially her Corgis. She loved watching her grandkids play baseball.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Travis Nerren; sons and daughter-in-law, Lenny Nerren, and Trent and Candace Nerren; granddaughter and husband, Lauren and Zach McOmber; grandsons, Landon Nerren and Lawson Nerren; great-grandson, Rudy McOmber; brothers and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Laurel Cordell, Robert Cordell, and Jimmy Estes; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Donnie Estes.

Pallbearers will be Trent Nerren, Lenny Nerren, Jack Jordan, Steve Adams, Jerry Morgan, and Joe Nerren.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
