Gretchen Leanne Woolf

Funeral services for Gretchen Leanne Woolf, 58, of Lufkin will be held Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Steve Cowart officiating. Interment will follow in the Largent Cemetery.

Gretchen was born September 25, 1966 in Lufkin, Texas to Charles Ronald and Mary Danna Smith, and died Friday, December 6, 2024 in a local hospital. She was a lifetime resident of Lufkin.

Gretchen enjoyed participating in many different hobbies including crafting, scrapbooking, cooking and baking. Her specialty was baking pies for the holiday family get togethers. Gretchen enjoyed spending time with her family. She especially loved being Jake and Graci’s mom. After many years of wanting to be a mother, the Lord blessed her with twins.

Singing was Gretchen’s passion. Over the years, she was involved in many musicals, plays and choirs. She was also a member of two ladies' ensembles, Image and One Accord,  where she had the privilege of recording a music CD.

Survivors include her husband of 28 years, Bro. Keith Woolf; daughter, Gracilyn Woolf; son, Jacob Woolf; parents, Charles and Mary Smith, all of Lufkin; sisters and brother-in-law, Danna Combs and Randall, of Maryville, Tennessee, and Lori Smith-House; brother, Ronald Smith; sister-in-law, Cheryl Sims; sister/best friend forever, Robyn Burnett, all of Lufkin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her in-laws, Dalton and Shirley Woolf; and brothers-in-law, Jon Paul Woolf and Basil Sims.

Pallbearers will be Tristan Tidwell, Taylor House, Allan Burnett, Lesley Bossier and Bryan Skelton.

Honorary pallbearer will be Tanner House.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Donor Services, 8700 E. Point Douglass Road S. #108, Cottage Grove, Minnesota 55016.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00  to 7:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
