Gregorio Morado, Sr.

June 12, 1964 — September 22, 2023

Mass of Christian Burial for Gregorio Morado, Sr., of Corrigan will be held Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St.  Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church with Fr. Joby Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Springs Cemetery in Corrigan. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Friday evening in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel.

Gregorio Morado, Sr. was born June 12, 1964 in Greeley, Colorado to Juanita (Martinez) and Arturo Morado, Sr., and died Friday, September 22, 2023 in a Lufkin facility.

Gregorio was employed by Georgia Pacific in Diboll, Texas for 25 years as a certified electrician. Gregorio loved to fish and hunt on his days off and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. At family gatherings Gregorio was the one to bring laughter, always making jokes and pranking family. Gregorio was loved and admired by many family members and friends and was always there to give a helping hand when needed.

Gregorio is survived by his wife of 26 years, Deborah Morado of Corrigan; son, Gregorio Morado, Jr. of Diboll; daughter, Maria Morado of Diboll; daughter, Sara Morado Palacio of Diboll; son, Francisco “Kiko” Morado and wife Diana of Diboll; daughter, April Villamil and husband Miguel of Diboll; daughter, Destiny Grace Ramirez and husband Osiel of Lufkin; son, Luis Alberto Caballero; 15 grandchildren; brother, Arturo Morado, Jr. and wife Lucy of Diboll; sister, Maria Juanita Garcia of Diboll; sister, Rebecca Luna of Lufkin; sister, Norma Martinez and husband Erubel of Corrigan; sister, Rachel Hernandez and husband Humberto of Lufkin; sister, Esmeralda Escobedo of Central; sister, Rosa Garcia and husband Roy of Hudson; brother, Alberto Morado, Sr. of Diboll; brother, Francisco “Pancho” Morado and wife Cindy of Diboll; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arturo Morado, Sr. and Juanita (Martinez) Morado; sister-in-law, Laura Morado; niece, Rebecca “Kita” Luna; and great-nephew, Jonathan Garcia Fuentes, Jr.

Pallbearers will be Jalen Wilson, Brayden Wilson, Sean Morado, Tristen Morado, Edwin Mejia, and Edian Mejia.

Honorary pallbearers will be Sophia Morado, Jackson Morado, Khloe Morado, Kody Morado, Audrey Palacio, Nathan Villamil, Issac Villamil, Grayson Ramirez, and Ryder Ramirez.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
