Grayson Howard Bertrand

Funeral services for Grayson Howard Bertrand, 2, of Vidor will be held Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Tony Holder officiating. Interment will follow in the Knight Cemetery.

Grayson was born June 8, 2016 in Beaumont, Texas to Breanna Lanvermeier and David Bertrand, and died Friday, February 15, 2019 in Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston.

Grayson had a smile that would light up a room. While God lent him to us for only a short amount of time, Grayson touched the lives and hearts of so many people, all who are better for having known him.

Survivors include his mother, Breanna Lanvermeier of Vidor; father, David Bertrand of Chester; sister, Bailey Bertrand of Lufkin; brother, James Bertrand of Lufkin; grandparents, Kevin Graham of Lufkin, Theresa Graham of Houston, Donna Bertrand of Chester, Richard Bertrand of Vidor; great-grandparents, Joyce Hahn of Troy, Missouri and Steve Lanvermeier and wife Sharon of Old Monroe, Missouri; aunts, Brittany Cawley and husband Thomas of Lumberton and Nicole Seymour of Silsbee; uncles, Jason Graham of St. Louis, Missouri, Robby Bertrand and wife Jeanna of Chester, and Michael Bertrand and wife Teashone of Livingston; and numerous cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Earl and Willie Dean Price, Robert Bertrand, Tracy Hahn, Tommy Graham, and Diane Zimberly.

Pallbearers will be his uncles, Michael Bertrand and Robert Bertrand and cousins, Justin Bertrand and Chase Bertrand.

The family would like to express their appreciation to all the special caregivers, friends, and medical personnel who were so special in Grayson’s life.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
