Gloria Jean Wade

Funeral services for Gloria Jean Wade, 66, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Brother Michael Self officiating. Interment will follow in the Zavalla Cemetery.

Ms. Wade was born February 2, 1951 in Lufkin, Texas to the late John Harmon “Buck” Wade and Mary Ellen (Clevenger) Wade, and died Monday, January 1, 2018 in a local hospital.

Ms. Wade was a lifetime resident of Angelina County. She worked at Oak Creek Center and loved drinking cokes. She was of the Pentecostal faith.

Survivors include her sisters, Hilda Rash and husband Kenneth of Splendora, Evelyn Arvena Rice and husband Dennis of Lufkin and Martha Jane Campbell and husband Pat of Etoile; niece, Heather Modisette and husband David; nephews, Luther Rice and wife Lindsey, Marty Campbell, Cody Campbell, Ricky Gill-Rash and wife Sharon, Ken Rash and wife Jennifer, and Shawn Rash and wife April; numerous great-nieces, great-nephews and other relatives; and her boyfriend, Royce.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.

Pallbearers will be Luther Rice, Cody Campbell, Marty Campbell, David Modisette, Ricky Rash and Ken Rash.

Honorary pallbearers will be Gunnar Modisette, Austin Rash, Kyle Rash, and Shawn Rash.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home in Huntington.
