Gloria Jane (Burton) Parker

Graveside services for Gloria Jane (Burton) Parker, 79, of Lufkin will be held Thursday, May 30, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Whitehall Cemetery in Dykesville, Louisiana with Pastor Jeff Tinsley officiating.

Mrs. Parker was born August 7, 1939 in Ringgold, Louisiana to the late Ethel (Page) and Thomas Shelby Burton, and died Monday, May 27, 2019 in a local nursing home.

Mrs. Parker had resided in Lufkin for 37 years and owned H&R Block in Diboll for 32 years. She enjoyed sewing, traveling, and loved to spend time with her family. Mrs. Parker was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Charles Bailey of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Cary and Susan Parker of Lufkin; grandchildren and spouses, Cody and Kaley Bailey of Carthage, Caylan and Sara Bailey, Baylie Parker, and Dalton Parker, all of Lufkin; great-grandchildren, Braylen Bailey and Blayne Parker; brother, Wayne Burton; niece, Lisa Burton; and nephew, Larry Burton, all of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Dorsey Fay Parker.
