Funeral services for Glenn Attebery, 90, of Bryan, formerly of Lufkin, will be held Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Horace Fletcher officiating. Graveside services will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park under the auspices of the Lufkin Masonic Lodge #669 A.F. & A.M.
Mr. Attebery was born February 6, 1928 in Carmona, Texas to the late Emma and Fred Attebery, and died Monday, December 3, 2018 at his residence.
Mr. Attebery attended Corrigan High School where he had fond memories of playing football. He graduated at the age of 15. He married the love of his life, Helen Nash, in 1951. They enjoyed 50 years of marriage prior to her death in 2001.
Glenn will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, and the best grandpa in the world. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Glenn also loved college and professional football, especially the Cowboys, the Texans and the Aggies. He worked as General Manager for many years at Land O’ Pines Dairy and OK Food Stores. He was a Master Mason who dedicated over 65 years to the local lodge in Lufkin and was a 32 nd degree Shriner. He was a member of Harmony Hill Baptist Church.
Glenn is survived by his daughter, Janice Konecny of College Station; granddaughter, Jessica Reudelhuber of Houston; grandson, Chris Reudelhuber of Houston; sister, Audrey Weaver of Fort Worth; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Helen Attebery.
Pallbearers will be Chris Reudelhuber, Donnie Keen, Joe Black, Joe Staus, and George Temple.
His family would like to thank the staff at The Isle of Watercrest in Bryan for the wonderful care they provided over the past several years, as well as Texas Home Health Hospice.

A visitation and reception will be held from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon at the funeral home.
