Gladys Mcknight

Graveside services for Gladys McKnight, 86, of Wells will be held Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. in the Mt. Hope Cemetery with Brother Horace Fletcher officiating.

Mrs. McKnight was born July 4, 1931 in Ada, Oklahoma to the late Daisy Belle (Ayers) and Charlie Newland, and died Thursday, January 4, 2018 in Houston.

Survivors include her sons, Perry McKnight and wife Betty Jean and Donnie McKnight and wife Sandy, all of Wells; daughters, Jeannie Fuller of Highlands and Glenda Martinez and husband Ricardo of Spring; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; siblings, J.B. Newland of Malakoff, Hubert Newland of Tyler, and Jerry Wayne Newland of Lindsay, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Ramsey McKnight.

Visitation is welcome from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon Saturday morning at Carroway Funeral Home.
