George Breant Puryear

George Breant Puryear, 72, of Lufkin died Thursday, December 6, 2018 in a local nursing home. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mr. Puryear was born November 21, 1946 in the Rocky Hill Community of Angelina County, Texas to the late Ozelle (Nichols) and John Breant Puryear.

Mr. Puryear had resided in in Houston for 40 years, prior to moving back to Lufkin. He was a Pipefield Welder for Interflex in Houston. He loved to people watch and enjoyed computers, reading, and riding his bike.

Survivors include his daughter, Gina Puryear of Lufkin; son, Michael Puryear of Houston; granddaughters, Emiliee Puryear and Katie Puryear, both of Anderson; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Janet Puryear; and brother, John Michael Puryear, Sr.
