George Bill Perry

Funeral services for George Bill Perry, 81, of Lufkin will be held Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Cindy Doran and Reverend Martin Doran officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Mr. Perry was born January 31, 1938 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Agnes (Nerren) and A. G. Perry, Jr., and died Saturday, April 13, 2019 at his residence.

George was a life-long resident of Lufkin. He was well known by so many people near and far by virtue of his business. He was a highly respected and honorable man - people knew they could always rely on him to be available at anytime and any day. He was dedicated to the family business, A G Perry & Son - being a third-generation owner, and was an extremely hard worker. George loved his family dearly and will be missed by all who knew him. He was a member of Keltys United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Linda Perry of Lufkin; daughter, GeorgAnna Harper and husband Greg of Lufkin; son, William Perry and wife Donna of Nacogdoches; grandchildren, Kaitlin Harper of Nashville, Tennessee, Eric Harper of Lufkin, Parker Perry of Nacogdoches, and Logan Stoddard of Nacogdoches; sister and nephews, JonAnna Reidinger, Jay Dyer, and Jeff Dyer; and numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Pallbearers will be Parker Perry, Eric Harper, Thomas Moore, Bill Simpson, Mike Nerren, and Milt Bradford.

Honorary pallbearers will be John Sirman, J.D. Crouch, and J.E. Driskell.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
