Genaro Diaz

Mass of Christian Burial for Genaro Diaz, 74, of Lufkin will be held Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park. Rosary will be recited Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Diaz was born December 2, 1950 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico to the late Transito (Puebla) and Roman Diaz, and died Thursday, March 14, 2025 in a local hospice facility. He had resided in Lufkin for 27 years and retired from Pilgrim’s Pride. Mr. Diaz attended St. Patrick Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Estela (Trejo) Diaz of Lufkin; sons and daughters-in-law, Jose Daniel Diaz, David and Anna Diaz, all of Houston, and Antonio and Dulce Diaz of Conroe; daughter and son-in-law, Lourdes Diaz and Nelson Soriano; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; eight brothers and sisters; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Pallbearers will be David Diaz, Jose Diaz, Antonio Diaz, Aydan Diaz, Alex Landaverde, and Alan Landaverde.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at Carroway Funeral Home.
