Gayann E. Dykes

Funeral services for Gayann E. Dykes, 68, of Huntington will be held Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Saron Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Len Singleton and Brother Jessie Paul Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the Dunk Havard Cemetery.

Ms. Dykes was born December 22, 1955 in El Paso, Texas to the late Naomia (Grimes) and Hubert Dykes, and died Friday, January 5, 2024 in The Woodlands.

Gayann was a life time resident of the Saron Community. She was a caretaker and avid homemaker. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and family, as well as her church family. Gayann was a member of Saron Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Wesley and Cyreena DuBose of Willis; sister, Carolyn Sue Dykes of Saron; nephew, Chris “Hopper” Dykes and wife Autumn of Saron; nieces, Aundria Fontenot and husband Cory of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Ashley Dykes of Fort Worth, Courtney Brittain and husband Jamie of Center; and many other special loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Bobby Dykes.

Pallbearers will be Shannon Gunn, Jason Gunn, Hopper Dykes, Dusty DuBose, Ricky DuBose, and Ethan Courtney.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at Carroway Funeral Home in Huntington.
