Gary Wayne Dickinson

Funeral services for Gary Wayne Dickinson, 67, of Lufkin will be held Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at First United Pentecostal Church with Brother Joe Stanley officiating. Masonic Graveside Services will follow in the Gann Cemetery under the auspices of the Wells Masonic Lodge #915 A.F. & A.M.

Mr. Dickinson was born August 17, 1950 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Doris (Allen) and Hubert Lavon Dickinson, and died Saturday, February 17, 2018 in a local hospital.

Mr. Dickinson had resided in Lufkin all of his life. He was a Pipeline Welder and a member of the Pipeliners Local Union 798. He was also a member of the Wells Masonic Lodge #915 A.F. & A.M. and the Houston Scottish Rite. He enjoyed squirrel hunting, fishing, and gardening. And he loved to pick at people and joke around and he loved his dogs. Mr. Dickinson attended First United Pentecostal Church of Lufkin.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Candace Anita Dickinson; son, Kevin Wayne Dickinson and wife Jada Linn; daughter, Mamie Lauren Boulware and husband George Brandon; grandchildren, Anita Alise Dickinson, Taylor Leigh Dickinson, Lauren Alexis Boulware, Addison Cane Boulware, Garrett Wayne Boulware, and Geordon Hendry Boulware; sister, Pamela Lanell McNeese and husband David; brother, Danny Mac Dickinson; and numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Anita Michelle Reed.

Pallbearers will be David McNeese, Ricky Allen, Chris Lamon, Shelton Kelsey, Brandon Boulware, and Kevin Dickinson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Allen, Don R. Allen, and Danny Mac Dickinson.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to First United Pentecostal Church of Lufkin Building Fund, 3200 S. Medford Drive, Lufkin, Texas 75901.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday evening at the church.
