Graveside services for Garvis Baldree, 89, of Diboll will be held Thursday, March 12, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Garden of Memories Memorial Park with Brother Ben Merritt officiating.

Mrs. Baldree was born February 5, 1937 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Ora (Forrest) and V.J. “Jack” Brookshire, and died Monday, March 9, 2026 in a local nursing home. She was a lifetime resident of Angelina County and taught Homemaking at Diboll High School for 28 years. Mrs. Baldree was a member of First Baptist Church Diboll.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Rita Baldree of Diboll; grandchildren and spouses, B.J. and Megan Baldree, Megan Baldree and Alicia Hernandez, Jonathan Smith, and Marci and Robert Fenner; great-grandchildren, Easton Baldree, Paisley Baldree, Kimberly Fenner, Bradley and wife Jaymee Fenner, Cole Smith, Allee Hernandez, Zackory Hernandez, and Maddyson Hernandez; and numerous special friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gay N. Baldree; and daughter, Kim Smith.
