Garrett Wayne Corbett

Graveside services for Garrett Wayne Corbett, 72, of Hondo, Texas, will be held Monday, December 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Aldredge Cemetery.

Mr. Corbett was born July 18, 1946, in La Marque, Texas, to the late Margaret Katherine (Bush) and Samuel Clayborne Corbett.  He died Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at his residence in Hondo.

Mr. Corbett was retired from the United States Army following a career of 21 years of service to his country.  He was a mechanic by trade and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Survivors include his sisters, Janie Corbett-Brock, Stella Washington and brothers, Samuel C., Sterling C., Tom C., Ronald C., Donald C., Steven C. -  His daughters, Cheryl Dalton of Hondo, Carol Corbett, Susan Fuentes and husband Michael, and Crystal Corbett, all of Castorville; his son, Gary Corbett and wife Debbie of Chesapeake, Virginia; grandchildren, Jessica M., Michael G., Lindsay M., Shelby T., Tiffani A., Brian N., Garrett W., Christopher R., Michael Jr., Justine, and Kristin B.; and great grandchildren, Joel, Jr., Piper M., Emma C., Evaristo H., III., Nicholas C., Khloe C., Benjamin C., Marlin C., Jr., and Averi C..

Mr. Corbett was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Brigitte Corbett; sister, Carol L. Corbett-Mitrovich. and brother, Dickie Corbett; granddaughter, Ashley Corbett; and great granddaughter, Zendaya Corbett.
