Frankie Gienell Gibson

Graveside services for Frankie Gienell Gibson, 77, of Pollok will be held Sunday, September 21, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at Gann Cemetery with Brother Robert Forrest officiating.

Mrs. Gibson was born January 23, 1948 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Edith (O’Quinn) and James Regnal Westbrook, and died Tuesday, September 16, 2025 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Gibson was a lifetime resident of Pollok. She was a secretary at Hudson ISD for more than 33 years. She loved mowing her yard with her zero-turn lawnmower and working in her flower beds, and was very crafty, especially in making floral arrangements. Mrs. Gibson was an excellent cook, and her family will miss her famous “birthday cake”. She loved her family dearly and was faithful and devoted to them. Mrs. Gibson was a member of O’Quinn Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Roger Gibson of Pollok; children and spouses, Brad and Carol Barington of Pollok, Roger David and Lauralee Gibson of Hallsville, Jackie and Richard Davis of Lufkin, Heather and Matt Smith of Jacksonville, and Jayme and Billy Byrd of Lufkin; grandchildren, Justin Barington, Chelsey Arambula, Brett Gibson, Zachary Barington, Kayla Stewart, Tyler Knight, Harrison Smith, Ashlee Rae, Riley Rae, Lauren Graves, Hendrix Smith, Kody Gibson, and Conner Nelson; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Phyllis Daphene McIntyre of Pollok; sister-in-law, Christi Westbrook of Pollok; and numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Chadley Shayne “Chad” Barington in 2020; and brother, Dana Regnal Westbrook.

Pallbearers will be Justin Barington, Zachary Barington, Brett Gibson, Hendrix Smith, Kody Gibson, and Conner Nelson.
