Frances Jeane

Funeral services for Frances Jeane, 88, of Lufkin will be held Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Mardy Guidry officiating. Interment will follow in the Walker Cemetery.

Mrs. Jeane was born August 8, 1930 in Ruston, Louisiana to the late Myrtle Milessa (Johnson) and Floyd M. Mewborn, and died Saturday, June 8, 2019 in a local hospice facility.

Mrs. Jeane had resided in Lufkin since 1946. She retired from Woodland Heights Hospital following many years working in food service. She loved her flower beds and enjoyed gardening. Mrs. Jeane was the matriarch of the family. Next to God, her greatest love was her family - they were everything to her. Mrs. Jeane was a strong woman of faith and was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Mary A. and Roland McDonald of Lufkin; 20 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, B.G. Reppond and Hugh Jeane; children, Monroe Reppond, Ada Kelley and Frances Bryan; granddaughter, Rebecca Davenport; great-granddaughter, Ammie Pennington; two sisters; and four brothers.

Pallbearers will be David Tubbs, Matt Hudgins, Mark Hudgins, Forest Shoemaker, Lucas Lakey, Larry Tutt, and David Shipman.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
