Frances Cordelia Dean

Memorial services for Frances C. Dean, 80, of Houston will be held Sunday, April 8, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Old River Terrace United Methodist Church in Channelview. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mrs. Dean was born August 5, 1937 in Houston, Texas to the late Lois Ione (Murphy) and Paul Marshall Gill, and died Wednesday, March 21, 2018 in Huntington, Texas.

Mrs. Dean was a member of Galena Park United Methodist Church and was active and held several officer positions in the United Methodist Women’s organization. She was also an active member of the Eastern Star Goose Creek Chapter #798. She was a very devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Dean loved her kids and grandkids and enjoyed watching them succeed in life.

Survivors include Loyd Dean; sons, Steve Dean and Traci of Seabrook, Larry Dean and Debbie of Porter, Timmy Dean and Erni of Cedar Park; daughter, Kathy Claunch and Gary of Huntington; grandchildren, Ashley Keller and Royce, Rachel Dean and Jeff, Austin Dean, Jackson Dean, Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Tyler Dean, and Dustin Claunch and Cassia; great-grandchildren, Carson Johnston, Jacee McKeown, Royce Keller II, Abigail Keller, Kaiden Keller and Preslynn Claunch; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Lois Gill, J.L. and Ruby Powers; and sister, Joann Harrell.
